Holiday Invitation: Let It Snow!

j0174989 It’s the holiday season … and this is the one time of the year that people want to see a blanket of snow! If you are gathering friends and family for a Carols and Cocoa Gathering or any holiday-themed party, an easy invitation is a call out to SNOW. Take card stock in any color that appeals to you and cut it to a standard medium-sized card. Fold it over. Inside, write all of your holiday party details, and prehaps decorate with a few snowflake stamps or snowflake stickers.

Holiday Invitation: Jingle Necklace

Nothing says the season more than jingle bells! Head to your local craft store and purchase a bag of jungle bells … they come in an array of colors from silver to red to green. Or check out the jingle bells selection at Amazon, and have them delivered right to your door. Purchase some card stock and bright ribbon too. (TIP: Make sure to purchase ribbon that can be easily threaded through your jingle bells.)

Cut your card stock into a small piece that will be easily placed on your jingle necklace. Write all of your party details on the card. Hole punch the upper left hand corner of your card.

Holiday Invitation: Candy Cane

Looking for an easy, quick holiday party invitation? Look no further than a box of candy canes, some white and red card stock, and ribbon. Make a small card out of your paper and write all of your party details on the inside. Hole punch the card in the top left-hand corner and string ribbon through to attach to your candy cane.

Your holiday invitation is all set! Hand-deliver them to your guests for not only the details, but also a sweet treat too!

Hannah Montana For Parents

GoodyBlog floats the idea that parents are getting hooked into the huge phenomena of both High School Musical and Hannah Montana. (Did you watch Oprah recently, when Miss Miley Cyrus herself made an appearance?) I have to say, I watch Hannah Montana—there seems to be appeal—and many friends I talk to know about Hannah Montana and have taken to watching it, with or without the kids. GoodyBlog calls it the The Secret Underground Hannah Montana Society.

Quick Holiday Decorations – At Home and For Your Party

Hanukkah Decorations

The kids will love having some creative fun during Hannukah this year. Looking for some easy, quick ideas that can be done before the meal is served or at the table itself, check out these ideas:

1. Have the kids create their own Menorah Table Decoration to place on the table. Here are the items needed to make this festive craft:

  • Wood block
  • Wood or foam dowels
  • Glue
  • Nuts
  • Paint
  • Permanent marker
  • Red and yellow tissue paper
  • 2. Use traditional solid colors for the tablecloth and table ware, blue, white, and silver. You can also spread confetti and pretty foiled chocolates in these colors as added decorations.
