Looking for an unusual and creative birthday party idea? Check out the blog Unplug Your Kids where a Knitting Birthday Party is described. I particularly like how the child had the idea and the parent went ahead and called up the local knitting store and inquired if they did birthday parties, although they didn’t, they were open to doing one! And it sounds like a wonderful party, everything from activities to goody bags sounds perfect! The blog also describes a few other out-of-the-box birthday party ideas! I particularly like the Airport Birthday outing, Geocaching party, and Letterboxing.
It’s always good to think of completely different ideas. If your child brings up a non-traditional idea, don’t dismiss it, but see if it can be done. You never know!
