Babymouse is a series of graphic novels written by brother-sister team Matthew and Jennifer Holm. Are your kids into reading this series of ingenious stories of the Queen of the World, AKA Babymouse? She is a little character that most people don’t know much about, check out the video, but who has a series of adventures that all kids can relate to. These include: Beach Babe, Rock Star, Camp Babymouse, and more….collect all of these graphic novels for fun. Babymouse can inspire a fun character spin on some of the most popular party themes like camping, rock stars, puppies, and more.
In particular, the first graphic novel in the series, Queen of the World is all about Babymouse fretting over Felicia Furrypaw’s upcoming slumber party. Will Babbymouse be invited to all of the fun? Perhaps your child loves Babymouse. How about throwing your very own Felicia Furrypaw’s slumber party. Bring in elements from Babymouse to make it thematic.
Given these books are in comic book style format, create a graphic party invitation to invite the guests to your Babymouse slumber party. One strip is plenty with all of the party details and their best rendering of Babymouse of course.
Use the signature colors of the Babymouse graphic novels to decorate…black, white, and pink. Large blank sheets of paper taped to the wall would make for great decor as the party is going to be about drawing and creating their own great Babymouse adventure. Put up plenty of sheets of paper!
