They have some great party favors for a bakugan party – adorable monogrammed canvas drawstring bags. Perfect size for holding Bakugan. The party also comes with Bakugan and a Bakugan arena and all the paper products. It is a great deal and makes a party at home a breeze.
Invitation:
Purchase packs of Bakugan cards or make your own cards with your favorite characters and on the backs of the cards, provide all of your party details. Invite them to attend a Bakugan Battle Brawler Party.
Invitation Tip:
Ask your party guests to dress as their favorite Bakugan character.
Decorations
Light the room with paper lanterns and hang kites in the party room so that the tails of the pipes act as streamers.
Suspend Bakugan cards from the ceiling with fishing line.
Hang large anime posters on the door or by the entry of the party room. Even better if these posters can be Bakugan-inspired. If your birthday brawler likes to draw anime pictures, have him create some artwork and laminate for the party walls or tables.
Using the colors orange, red, and black, decorate your party room with balloons and streamers and place around your party table as well.
Create a Bakugan party table using orange, red, and black table ware for your paper products and utensils. Place a large clear bowl in the center full of Bakugan cards for added festivity.
Make place cards of each character and have everyone take their seat based on the character they are playing at the party ─ duplicates are OK.
Games/Activities
When your Bakugan Battle Brawlers arrive, have Bakugan cards fall all over the kids as they enter the party, just like Dan found to begin the adventure.
While everyone arrives at the party, provide the kids with craft materials and pre-made masks to create their own Bakugan characters that they will play during their party adventure.
Once they are masked and dressed in character, ask them to stay in character for the entire party answering only to their character’s name and acting like the character.
Each Bakugan Brawler has a guardian that watches over them. Once the guests have determined their characters for the party, create the characters’ guardians using butcher paper and craft materials. Place their guardians on the backs of the kids for the duration of the party.
Create a Bakugan Brawler adventure for the kids to play together. As an example, the Bakugan Brawlers must prepare for battle with Masquerade and fend off his spies and other hidden enemies. Send the Brawlers on a training course. Put together an obstacle course for the kids to complete and give them a series of martial arts exercises. Have an adult helper lead the exercises if you want the training to be more formal.
Upon the training being completed, tell the kids that there is a special envelope in the area providing pertinent information about the Bakugan. Have the kids search it out. Give them clues as to where you hid the envelope.
Bakugan Tournament. Each brawler requires a minimum of 3 Bakugan balls, 3 Ability Cards and 3 Gate/Metal Cards to participate (found in the Bakugan Starter Pack). Ask each guest to bring their favorite Bakugan to play with and/or provide one Bakugan Starter Pack for each child to play with and take home as their party favor. Provide an area for groups of 4 brawlers to compete against each other at one time. Any flat surface will work or you can use the official Bakubowl for the ultimate Bakugan tournament. See http://www.bakugan.com for official rules.
Masquerade has to power to send the Bakugan to the Doom Dimension. As a group, have the Bakugan Brawlers brawl with Masquerade. The kids can jump around, do martial arts kicks, etc., but no one can touch the other as it is a mock brawl. Adult supervision is needed to watch all brawlers during this activity closely.
Party Menu
Serve finger foods that look like (fake) sushi. As an example, make wrap type sandwiches using cold cuts and tortilla wraps. Cut the wraps in 2-inch thick pieces and lay flat to resemble sushi.
Other Japanese-inspired menu ideas include:
• Edmame
• Miso Soup
• Bubble Tea
• Tempura Vegetables
• Jellyrolls
• Sushi Cupcakes, split Twinkies™ into bite sizes, roll a fruit leather around the outside, and place tiny candies on top for a sweet sushi treat.
• Place Swedish Fish atop a bed of sticky rice and tie off with a red licorice string.
Tip: Use chopsticks for eating utensils.
Bakugan Cupcakes. Bake up your favorite batch of cupcakes and frost with bright red and blue frosting (add food coloring to white frosting). Laminate Bakugan Brawler cards and place atop each cupcake for a thematic decoration.
Party Favor
Send the kids home with a Bakugan Brawler packs of cards, bandanas, Bakugan Booster or Starter Packs, and other anime items paired off with their masks and character guardians that they made during the party.
Give all the party guests a starter pack of Bakugan trading cards and then have an old-fashioned trading card party where the kids can trade with each other to get the cards they want.
