Bubbles are a wonderful theme for a small child’s birthday party, ages 2 to 3 are simply perfect. Also, it is a great theme for a summer birthday…but may not be ideal for being indoors duirng colder months for obvious reasons.
Here are a few ideas:
Send a Bubble Art Invitation: Experiment with some different bubble solutions, then print out your invitations and blow various colored bubbles right onto the paper. They will land and pop on the invite and then your invite will be a work of bubble art.
When guests arrive, have a big bubble blowing machine at the front entrance of your house blowing big bubbles that the guests enter through….this will kick off your theme nicely.
Give parents and other adults at the party different bubble wands and bubbles. Count to three and begin the chorus of bubbles.
Designate someone to be the Bubble Magician, doing tricks with the bubble wands. One trick would be blowing a very large bubble that does not pop. If you get a fancy jar of bubbles at your local party store, often they will have various tricks you can do with your bubbles. Put on a little show.
Fill a small plastic swimming pool with water and bubble solution and let the children have fun making their own bubble creations.
Once inside for cake, provide cupcakes, and have the kids make a bubbly topping…with sprinkles and round gummies that look like bubbles. They can then eat their creations.
Buy inexpensive, pretty jars and fill them with bubble solution…hand out as a goody item to take away!
Have fun! Bubbles are a wonderful themed party!
