Camp Out Invites

Camping parties will be a really fun theme for a party this summer. Here are some ideas for a unique and creative invitation that will set the tone of your great camp out:

Make the invitation in the shape of a tent and have an opening. When the guests open the flaps to the tent, this will reveal the party details.

You could also make the invitation in the shape of a sleeping bag. You can have the outside be a primary color with a matching slip of paper for the inside on plaid paper or a different primary color, and put your party details on the inside paper. Seal the sleeping bag along the sides and the bottom. Send it in recycled brown envelopes for a rustic camping feel.

You can also use clip art and use camping pictures on the invitation to make a visual of the fun that will be had, like a flashlight for flashlight tag, a T-shirt for tie-dye T-shirts, hot dogs for your roast, etc.

Change the language on the invitation from standard to camp speak. You can be the “Camp Director.” Instead of “Place,” put “Campsite,” and instead of “Time,” use “Camp Hours.” This makes the invitation language in line with the theme. You can also name your camp, such as “Camp Silly” or “Camp Turning 8″
