Hide a Surprise for a Prize

Family birthday celebrations can be loads of fun not only for the birthday child, but also for the other kids in the family too! Here’s an easy way to have everyone looking forward to that cake…besides just being sweet and yummy! Make a tradition of hiding a small pretzel stick or a Cheerio in the cake. Whomever bites in to the special surprise wins something fun…an ice cream cone, a movie pass, a mini-golf pass, etc. It doesn’t need to be an outing, but rather a prize of some sort, i.e new pack of baseball cards, a jumping ball, etc. You can begin this and keep it as a tradition year in and year out. Exciting!
