Chick-A-Dee Chic

Image002Spring and Easter are right around the corner, and you may be looking for an animal to represent the season other than a bunny. If so, another darling creature to build a spring theme around is the chick! Check out these ideas to bring your chick party together:

  1. Buy balloons, streamers, and tableware in different shades of yellow.
  2. Decorate by putting feathers all over the party table.
  3. Make some Easter egg chicks.
  4. Have your guests paint T-shirts with little yellow chicks on them to take home.
  5. Everyone loves Peeps! Give the kids Peep chicks for a treat. If you are feeling especially creative, check out the Peeps website for really fun recipes and crafts.
  6. Serve chicken nuggets, chicken Caesar salad, small sandwiches cut into chick shapes, and Drumstick crackers.
  7. Make a batch of chick sugar cookies and have the kids decorate them.
  8. Draw on plastic eggs and fill them with chocolate eggs for a surprise. Hide these little chick eggs around your yard for an outdoor treasure hunt.
  9. Have a chick’s egg spoon race. Place eggs you have dyed yellow onto spoons, and give one to each guest. Have the kids race back and forth from one end of the yard to the other without dropping the eggs.
  10. Have a Cadbury Egg filling eating contest. Provide the kids with Cadbury Eggs and a spoon. Have the kids crack the eggs open, spoon out the filling, and eat it quickly. The first one done wins.
  11. Don’t forget to serve a chick cake too!
  12. Enjoy watching the movie Chicken Little

Rudolph Blinking Nose

Holiday Tip:

If you are looking for a blinking red nose, much like the one Rudolph had, you can find it at Restoration Hardware this year. I have not seen it on their website, but if you have a store near you, check it out as they are in the store. You could always order one to be sent to you as well.
