If you are looking for a decoration that is homemade, inexpensive, and that your kids can help make before the party or can serve as a craft activity for your party guests, how about making long paper chains in your party colors? Often, streamers can add expense that is not necessary. Paper chains can decorate your party just as well and include the party-goers. Also, if they have created the paper chains as a party activity, the kids can take (wear) these home as an easy goody.
Make sure to have multiple colors available to make their paper chains. For older kids, they can cut out the strips and make them from start to finish, whereas with younger kids, it is appropriate to have the paper pre-cut, so they simply have to inter-lock the paper and glue the ends together.
