Phineas and Ferb is a very popular TV show on the Disney Channel. Are your children fans of the two stepbrothers who will do anything to escape summer boredom? There’s something to their schemes, humor, and pet platypus, Perry — not to mention the other cast of characters like their sister Candace and the mad scientist, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.  Phineas and Ferb would make an excellent summer party theme for kids and would also be fun for kids with winter birthdays wanting a taste of summer vacation.  Looking for ideas?

Wow…I stumbled upon a wonderfully bold and brilliant party on Kara’s Party Ideas (who gives total credit to one charming party!)  based on an all-time favorite story and doll, Raggedy Ann.  Aren’t these aqua and red colors absolutely amazing together to make Raggedy Ann pop?  The party table full of so many yummy sweet treats really creates a wonderfully fun, whimsical feel to such a classic character.  Love this!

This has inspired me to think up some party activities for this fabulous theme.  Stay tuned!

Everyone loves Mickey, but where would he be without Minnie Mouse?  A true favorite for kids of all ages, Minnie Mouse is a great character to build a birthday party around.  You can either keep it all about Minnie or bring in other favorite characters to add fun to the Minnie Mouse party.

Does your child love the sights and sounds of Broadway shows? Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a classic Disney tale that kids are sure to love.  This fall Disney is bringing the classic movie out of its vault and it will be available on DVD for your children to watch again and again.  It is a timeless tale.   If your children are between the ages of 3 and 7,  this movie is also a great birthday party theme! Although Snow White runs along the idea of a “Princess” theme, the dwarfs in the story make it very boy-friendly as well. This is a great theme for both boys and girls to have fun with!
