Does your child love Spiderman?  It’s a great theme for a kid’ party and Tobey Maguire seems to know this. He is dressing up as his famed character to entertain children at their parties and to also keep in shape!

Isn’t that cool?  Not sure if he will be available when you call for your next Spiderman party, but it’s fun to think about Tobey showing up as a kid’s party entertainer.

An adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s beloved childhood book Where the Wild Things Are hit movie theaters recently. How awesome is this movie? Check out the trailer here. As you may know, Where the Wild Things Are is the story of Max, a little boy who is sent to bed without dinner for being naughty. Once in his room, he creates his own world: a forest with wild creatures that crown him as their ruler. The story is full of creativity, imagination, and love, and it will be awesome to see director Spike Jonze bring it to life on the big screen.

Where the Wild Things Are would make an excellent party theme full of creatures, mischief, and wild things for Halloween this year.  And if  you somehow have made it this far without reading the book, check it out on Amazon.  It is truly a classic in the best sense of the word. You can also get the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack and let your kids do a wild dance.

This holiday season, November 6th to be exact, Disney releases a Christmas Carol, which is a redo of the classic Christmas tale of Ebenezer Scrooge who is visited in one night by three ghosts from the past, present, and future. This movie casts Jim Carey in the role of all three as well as Ebenezer!

A Christmas Carol Train Tour will be traveling through 40 cities during this summer to promote the movie.  If you are a fan and want an inside peak of the film and more, check out the site for when this train will be in your town!

This summer, Regal Entertainment Group is offering a Free Family Film Festival…what’s that price?  I’d say pretty perfect at FREE!  During the nine-week festival, Regal Cinemas will show select G & PG movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays  @ 10 am.  With movies that range from Horton Hears A Who to Inkheart, there is a great selection on offer.  Since 1991, Regal has provided this service to the community, and best of all it’s FREE!  Take advantage of this Festival this summer at the Theater’s Box Office on the day of the show.

Also, AMC Theaters are holding a Summer Movie Camp from June 17th through August 5th this summer.  The camp is on at 10 am on Wednesday mornings and will feature kids’ movies that are family friendly.  The $1 admission ticket price (which you can purchase for groups up to one week in advance) will go to benefit Variety – The Children’s Charity and the Will Rogers Institute too.  Check this program out when school is otut!
