Every child loves receiving a birthday invitation in the mail. Give your smaller guests a taste of what’s to come by creating a unique party invite. Not only does the invitation set the tone of your child’s party, it also adds to the wonderful anticipation of the event.
A great idea when creating a unique birthday invitation is to stick with the theme of the party.
Having a Thomas the Train party?
Jot down the party information on a small wooden train whistle in permanent marker.
Having a pirate party? Send an “invitation in a bottle” complete with sand,
shells, scroll and a cork topper.
These ideas may seem daunting to some or terribly expensive, but many of these items can be purchased at your local craft store or dollar store (plastic message bottles) and be made in little time.
Having a sports-themed party? Purchase round note cards and let your guests know they’ll “have a ball!” at the party. Remember, practically anything can serve as an invitation.
Not having a “themed” party or can’t think of an idea? Another great invitation can be found at your local craft store – small (3×5”) blank puzzles. Simply write your party information on the puzzle, break up the pieces, slide them into an envelope, drop them in the mail and wait for the excited replies!
This invitation gets your guests involved and is a fun way to let them know they’re in for a great time! Remember, no matter what the invitation, your attendees are guaranteed to have a great time at your party. After all, they’re there to celebrate something special: your child!
