Easy Fun With Boxes

Kids aged 3 to 5 years old will appreciate some easy fun at their next party when you simply use your appliance boxes!  They are large, can be decorated colorfully, entrances can be cut out, and kids can play all afternoon in them.  If you are having the kids’ parents attend, ask if they can bring along an old appliance box (the bigger, the better) to add to the fun.  The kids can have fun decorating the boxes, crawling in and out of them, and making them into fantastical places to play.Â

The kids can have fun decorating the boxes with marker s and crayons.  Also, have old blankets laid out for the kids to use to create a fort.  The whole party the kids can play with the boxes, crafting their own party world on their own. 

If the party guests bring a box to the party, this can also serve as the birthday gift.  The box can be left for the birthday kid to continue to play in after the party as well.  Once your kid has lost interest, the boxes can simply be recycled.Â

One important point: cut out the appliance boxes in advance of the party so no sharp objects are around the kids when they are playing.
