It’s a great time of year to make a festive holiday menu – whether for a holiday party, an informal gathering, tree trimming, and beyond – it’s easy to take what you have around your kitchen and make it merry and bright for your kids.

Check out these easy holiday menu ideas to keep ‘em happy this season:

  • Use festive cookie cutters to cut out yummy sandwiches filled with anything that is easy, cream cheese and strawberry jam would be festive
  • Make a Rudolph Reindeer sandwich. Start with any type of sandwich and cut it diagonally to create two triangles. Add two raisins for the eyes, six raisins for the mouth, slide broken pretzel bits between the slices of bread for the horns, and half a cherry for the nose
  • Turn any round cracker into a snowman’s face. First spread the cracker with cream cheese, and then add small slivers of carrots and black olives to create a face
  • Reindeer Munch. Add red and green M&M candies to a Chex Mix (or a batch of Cinnamon-Apple Chex Mix).
  • “Snowballs.” Serve donut holes rolled in powdered sugar.
  • Serve Snowman Shakes — vanilla milkshake in a snowman mug!
  • Serve holiday cookies with peppermint ice cream.
  • Pretzel rods dipped in melted chocolate, “Reindeer Antlers”
  • Make Edible Christmas Trees. Provide kids with a sugar cone that they turn upside down on a paper plate. The kids can then decorate their “tree” with green frosting (vanilla frosting mixed with some drops of green food coloring) and candy sprinkles.
  • Make Reindeer Cookies Take peanut butter cookie dough and have the kids pat it flat. Use small pretzels for the antlers, two chocolate chips for eyes, and a red candy for his nose.
  • Jones Soda Customized Bottles
Remember, use holiday tableware to enhance the holiday mood.   Amazon has lots of party ware to choose from.
