After the fun of concocting and quidditching, the Muggles will be happy to enter “The Great Hall” and enjoy a Potter Feast.
If thinking of snack ideas or a full party menu for the bash, have a look at the suggestions below: Muggle Menu, Treats and Fizzies:
- Purchase small black treat bags and fill them at each place setting. Fill it with Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavored Beans, Licorice Wands, Gummi Worms, Marshmallows, Chocolate Animals, etc.
- Jell-o Jigglers in stars and moon shapes.
- Punch served out of a Cauldron.
- If using a punch bowl, float plastic bugs in the mix.
- Make sure your ice cubes have a gummy worm frozen inside.
- Pop Rocks in the drinks for the fizzle.
- Popcorn with magical toppings, taco powder, cheese, garlic, pepper, etc. Have the kids experiment.
- Star crackers with cheese spray.
- Cut out fruits into wizardy shapes and serve with melted chocolate.

PotterParties.com has a phenomenal listing of foods to serve for your Potter feast and also notes the degree of difficulty or ease it will take to make these specialties. Take a look, as you won’t be disappointed for choices.
I especially appreciate the reference to the Harry Potter (HP) Lexicon that specifically looks at the text of Harry Potter books to see what foods are served at the meals and other memorable “foodie” moments.
By reviewing this resource, you can become very “by the book” in keeping your menu in line with what you serve your Muggles!
