A note regarding party help…
If you know you are going to need some help running your birthday party…make sure to plan ahead and have some help on hand. It is important to plan who you will have be your help in advance. Some suggestions include:
- A party planner
- A favorite babysitter
- Designated parents
- Grandparents
- Aunt or Uncle
Asking someone you know in this regard then designates your help and keeps you from asking people awkwardly at the last minute if they could help out. This often happens at small kids parties where parents will hang around. If you have not thought about the help you would like, you may have the tendency to ask parents to pitch in as you need it…they may be a willing or not so willing. You never know. Also, you may be hoping parents will stay and “help,” but then parents end up just dropping their child off instead and you are left without help in the least.
Think ahead, and plan for some help if you need it…in this way you won’t be in an awkward last minute space asking people for help or being left with no one around to help.
