If you want some cool ice cream social party ideas for the upcoming summer season, have a look below:
Get a bunch of balloons and bunch them looking like an ice cream cone…brown for the cone and then the different colors for the flavors of the ice cream!! Another way to make balloons look like ice cream cones & have a centerpiece for your party table is to attach helium-filled balloons to party hats.
Make a sign welcoming your guest’s to your daughter’s “Ice Cream Parlor.”
Also, play some old fashioned ice cream parlor music to get people in the mood of the party theme as they arrive.
On the party table, you could have old fashioned stick candy in brightly colored pails as an additional decoration for the table and as a treat. It will look festive.
Pick your table ware out in the ice cream colors you choose. Solid partyware is a GREAT way to stretch the party budget! You could further decorate the tablecloth if you choose a plain white one and then either cut out ice cream cones and stick them all over the tablecloth or make a drawing of an ice cream parlor on it. If you are pressed for time, or like the idea of themed plates, Birthday in a Box has darling partyware that matches this theme perfectly!
Throw in solid balloons in orange, green yellow and blue and you have got a fresh, pretty look for your party.
Enjoy a sundae bar with all of the toppings, nuts, chocolate sauce, cherries, caramel, etc. You could also make “Creamy Cones,” using standard cones and providing whipped cream for the kids to fill their cones with and top with chocolate shavings, sprinkles, gummies, etc. The kids will love this one as well.
A game you could play is a version of the “pin the tail on the donkey,” but instead use a cherry to pin on the sundae or the ice cream cone!
You could have a game for the adults where they match the Ben and Jerry’s Flavors to their names…could be challenging!
Make Paper Soda hats.
Have an ice cream eating contest!!
I like this Pom Pom Ice Cream Cone Craft as well:

Ice Cream in a Bag is also cool:

As a favor, buy some vintage sundae cups at a thrift store and fill it with Baskin Robbins flavored candies. You can add a Pixie Stick as a straw for the ice cream soda.
Ice Cream social and birthday parties are sure to be a huge hit to cool everyone off!
