Raiders of the Lost Ark Décor
In Raiders of the Lost Ark, history and archaeology professor Indiana Jones travels the world in search of the lost Ark of the Covenant.
In the memorable first scene of this epic tale, Indiana Jones escapes from an ancient temple, only barely evading deadly traps and a giant rolling rock. As the story progresses, he finds the Ark in a desert tomb and returns it to safe hands.
Ancient Temple Party Entrance
- Dangle fake pythons from the ceiling and toss mini plastic snakes on the ground for guests to walk over as they enter the party.
- Make the archway very rustic by using artificial rock wall panels or rock wallpaper.
- Hang green moss, Spanish moss and vines around tables and walls for an “overgrown” look.
- Spray paint a large inflatable ball gray to resemble a rock and hang it near the entrance.
Egyptian Desert Atmosphere
- Instead of chairs, use big pillows on the ground for seating.
- Place a large plywood rectangle on sturdy plastic crates to use as a low dining table. Make sure the edges are sanded and safe.
- Use colorful cloths and exotic scarves to cover the plywood tables Cover the plywood tables.
- Consider setting up seating in a pop-up tent.
- Create piles of play sand around the party space.
- Scatter faux Egyptian idols or thematic items in the sand.
