Yes, parents have the joy of attending many, many kids’ parties while their children are under the age of six-year-old, so the idea of sticking to fruits and veggies and avoiding the sweets may be helpful to you as you navigate the birthday party sugary offerings!  They are often there for the parents to nibble on as well.

Just as this author has used this rule to relax and enjoy the parties herself…it may also be of note to host parents to provide fruits and veggies for the parents who will be attending too.

Birthday parties can often be about sweets…this simple idea of not eating the sweets may make it more enjoyable for you too.
