An Appropriate Kids’ Party Venue?

Checking out the GoodyBlog this morning and found a very interesting article, Not the Breast of Ideas, regarding a standard pool party for a group of 11-year-olds, who then enjoyed their party meal…at Hooters! The host parents did not let the guests’ parents know that was the chosen restaurant, instead they found out when their kids came home acting sheepish about where they had been.

Is this an appropriate place to host a tween birthday party? Goodyblog is asking and I had to as well.
