A craft is always a great way to kick off your kid’s party. Why? It gets the kids into a creative mood, usually is a good way to use time as kids arrive, and can also add to the theme. Beyond that, the craft can often be the take home goody as well.

You don’t necessarily need to run out and buy anything fancy for your craft…often we have exactly what we need right around the house. Here is a handy list of stuff that can be used to make party crafts:

  • Construction Paper
  • Crepe Paper
  • Newspaper
  • Cardboard Paper
  • Wrapping Paper
  • Tissue Paper
  • Gift Tags
  • Glue
  • Stickers
  • Tape
  • Kid-Friendly Scissors
  • Glitter Glue
  • Paint
  • Crayons
  • Yarn
  • Fabric Scraps
  • Buttons
  • Sequins

What a great list! Have kids cut out basic shapes from the paper, either to match your party theme or whatever delights them, and decorate with all of these home made materials. It’s simple, budget-friendly, and imaginative!
