What’s a simple lunch I can pack for my party guests for our party in the park?
There are lots of yummy foods you can take to a party in the park. One thing I recommend is keep it simple and well-prepared so when you are on-site with hungry kids you can easily hand out their lunches.
You could do up a wonderful little lunch and put it in either a sand bucket, lunch pail, or a lunch box. You could give these containers to the children as part of their “goody bag” at the end of the party as well.
Have the containers prepared. I would make up sandwiches and make them into cool cut-outs. You could do this with veggies and/or meat and cheese sandwiches. PB&J is an easy one, but may not be so popular given peanut allergies. You could make them into stars, animals, numbers, letters, etc.
Buying self-serve packets of small carrots or other veggies would be a healthy side snack for the lunch.
You could also do a fruit roll-up or some other easy type of fruit for the lunch.
Have fruit-boxed juices and plenty of water on hand
Boxes of animal crackers or a savory cracker would be great!
Put in a little “toy” to keep the kids amused as they enjoy their lunch!
For dessert…a party in the park would do well with cupcakes!! They are easy to hand-out, carry, and less messy for the kids to eat as well. Don’t forget the candles!
Make sure to bring along “wet ones” so kids may clean their hands after lunch is finished!
Have a delicious, simple party in the park!
