Well, Halloween is right around the corner! One of the BEST parts of the season is carving the pumpkins. When I was little, it was an automatic party, as I have two brothers and all of us got our own pumpkins, which we got to design for my Dad, who then carved them to our specifications. Lucky kids, huh?
Even if you are only carving one pumpkin this year, how about gathering a few families together for a pumpkin carving party!
The main activity of the party will be having the kids draw the picture of the pumpkin face that they want on their pumpkins. So, they can be as creative as they like. Provide butcher paper and black markers and away they go.
The next activity of the party will be cleaning out the pumpkin, especially scooping out all of those yummy pumpkin seeds. Have salt and a few spices on hand to spice them up. As everyone carves, toast the seeds for a special treat.
Finally, the kids can supervise the adults carving the pumpkins to their specifications! They will all look wonderful, and you can give out prizes for the scariest, funniest, silliest pumpkins! The kids will love this. If you don’t want to start from scratch, Costume Express offers a
