What is the best way to seat small kids at a birthday party without having to rent a small table and mini chairs?
See if you have any small tables that your kid plays at and use this table and any chairs that may go with it. Depending on how many kids you have at the party, you may need to ask some neighbors and friends if you can borrow their little tables and chairs as well. Once you have enough seats and table space, cover it with one long tablecloth and decorate according to your party colors and theme. No one will know that there are different tables underneath the cloth and will this will suit your party crowd perfectly.
If you want to do a proper “big kids’ table,” then use booster seats so that everyone can be at table level. You could again ask to borrow these seats from neighbors and friends as well.
Another option is to have a picnic blanket laid out on the floor and have the kids eat their treats and cake on the blankets. It may be messier, but it would also work out well for these little kids. This is often what happens when you have a party in the park, but would also work indoors or in your own backyard.
