What kid and parent isn’t a fan of the wonderful Shel Silverstein poems & books? They were an essential part of my childhood, especially my favorite, “The Giving Tree” and those poems in “The Light in the Attic.”
A great resource has come to life on the Net, Shel Silverstein.com! Check it out for e-cards, a full list of books, games and puzzles for the kids, and resources for teachers and parents. This would be a great site to use if you are interested in building a party theme around a Shel Silverstein book or poem.
Shel has a new book release called Runny Babbit ~ have a look at this site for ideas on how to bring the book alive to your kids and students through a list of related activities and educational fun!
