shutterstock_11673244 Kick & Flip Over. That’s skateboarding! It’s wildly popular among tweens and teens today. If you are looking to throw a party for your favorite skateboarder, here are some ideas to pull it together.

Check out the Tony Hawk party supplies. Very cool.

The best place for this party would be a skate park, where kids can bring their skateboards and gear and enjoy the main activity of this party! Often these are found in parks and can be used for free. There are also indoor facilities which are usually not expensive either, and they may also rent safety equipment like helmets and knee and elbow pads. Make sure that all the kids attending your party have safety equipment, either their own or rented at the facility.

Given that there may be a range of levels of expertise, it would be a very good idea to hire an instructor to help everyone have fun skating. If there are beginners, he can help get them going and for the intermediate to advanced skilled kids, he can challenge their moves and teach a few new ones. Most of all, an instructor will help you and the parents of your guests feel more comfortable that there is an expert on hand to manage the fun.

Provide knapsacks to the kids at the party. Inside, provide them with snacks or a simple lunch, along with a few goodies to take home with them. These can include candy, whistles, stickers, mini-skateboard keychain, and skating comics, water bottles, etc.

For the lunch, provide sandwiches in the shape of skateboards filled with a variety of favorites, chicken salad, egg salad, etc., pin wheel cookies, Fruit Roll-Ups, popcorn balls, pretzels, and water bottles filled with a flavored sports drink.
