Have a Snake Parade: Have all of the kids form a line and have the birthday kid be the head “snake” and the kids can move like snakes in a line together set to music. Just a fun game to get the kids moving.

Create Snake Headbands. Have green construction paper cut out into thick strips for headbands. When the kids arrive, have them color/decorate their snake headbands and wear them during the party.

Have a great Snake Hunt. Hide little plastic animals throughout the party room or in the backyard and tell the kids that they are snakes, now that they have their headband on, and are quite hungry. Have them find their next meal on the hunt. The kids could keep the little plastic animals they find.

Hold a snake relay. Divide the kids into two teams, provide each team with a sleeping bag, and have the kids slither to one end and back. First team done, wins!

If you want to hire an entertainer, this would be the perfect party to hire a “Reptile Man,” one who has snakes that he can bring to the party. He may also teach the kids a thing or two about the animals.

For a goody item, give clear jars with snakes painted on the jar itself. Inside, fill it with plastic little snakes and little animals that snakes eat, slime, growing lizards, glow-in-the-dark snakes and other little reptiles, gummy snakes, etc.
