If your child celebrates her birthday in winter, when the weather is just plain miserable, a great idea may be to celebrate a half birthday in the summer!
Here’s how it works:
On your child’s actual birthday, simply enjoy cake and ice cream together. Talk up the fact that her birthday party will be celebrated during summer when it is beautiful and she can be outdoors with her friends and family…or at a venue that is only available during the warm, summer months, i.e. a park, a pool, etc.
Although it may seem confusing to some, celebrating your kid’s birthday in this way will allow you and your child to have a great party during good weather.
Some families make this an annual event to avoid such confusion, or you could simply choose to celebrate in this way on certain years.
