For the under 5 age crowd, the Wiggles are one of the MOST popular musical groups for these kids. Don’t be surprised if he asks for his very own Wiggles party at his upcoming party. Remember with these little ones, 60 to 90 minutes is plenty of time, make sure to have lots of prizes for all of the kids to win to avoid hurt feelings, and smaller numbers make for the party being manageable both for the adults hosting and the kids attending.

Invitations:

Send out a Recording Contract to your guests as the formal invitation, inviting them to a recording session of the Wiggles…make sure that somewhere in the contract information are the party details.

Send out your Wiggly invitation on Crayola Starburst paper that includes a variety of colors.

Ask guests to dress in their favorite Wiggles Band Members’ Colors.

Decorations:

Make a life size Captain Featherswood, Dorothy, Wags, and Wiggles’ characters out of large pieces of cardboards.

Using a large appliance box, make a Wags Doghouse for the kids to enter and play in.

Cut out a bunch of musical notes and also hang around the entire party room.

Blow up red, yellow, purple, and blue balloons and twist up streamers in the same colors as well.

Play Wiggles music, of course!

Check out the Wiggles Party Supplies from Amazon. Given the bright fun Wiggles’ colors, feel free to simply use Solid Colored Partyware. Still, to make it “Wiggly” you may want to splurge on one piece of party ware that has the Wiggles faces on it to keep the theme.

Activities:

Have an adult dress up as Captain Feathersword and welcome each of the guests. There could be facepainting of musical notes on the kids’ faces as well.

Play Hot Potato to the Wiggles Music.

Play Musical Chairs to the Wiggles Music.

Dance!!

Have a spaghetti relay race with the kids. Boil a large pot of spaghetti, let it cool. The teams must throw the spaghetti to another team member who must run and place it into a pot. Keep this relay timed, and the winners are the ones with the most spaghetti in the pot!

Have a Wags Dog Bone Toss. Take a large piece of cardboard and cut out 4 holes. The kids have to throw dog bones and get them in the holes.

Have a Dorothy the Dinosaur Balloon Stomp, using extra balloons, tie a balloon to each kids legs and have the kids try and stomp them until there are no more balloons left.

Play Pin the Tail on Wags!

Have a Capt. Feathersword Dress Up, where the kids make pirate hats, out of black posterboard and stickers, have a fake tattoo to put on, and get a Feathersword from a modeling balloon.

For a craft, make Henry the Octopus Puppets. Before the kids arrive, cut his head shape out of purple construction paper, glue on eight accordion-folded strips of paper for legs, attach googly eyes, and draw on his mouth. Then, attached these to paint stirrers. Have the kids glue on Henry’s hat (already cut from yellow construction paper) and a bow tie (already cut from red construction paper).

Menu:

Serve Rainbow Punch!

Captain Featherword’s Cannonballs, i.e. Sweet and Sour Meatballs.

Henry’s Octopus Dogs, i.e. hot dogs split in 8 slices at the ends and boiled.

Anthony’s Fruit Salad

Greg’s Magic Macaroni & Cheese

Murray’s Rocking Chips and Dip
