This is Daniel Cook is an extremely popular show where kids can watch a precocious young boy, Daniel Cook, learning all sorts of skills, like learning to draw, making chocolates, baking a birthday cake, studying rocks and more…The episodes engage Daniel Cook and his audience in actively exploring the world around him with real life experiences! Essentially, Daniel Cook encourages fellow kids by doing!! So, if you want to have a party inspired by Daniel Cook, it can be all about “exploring” in real time for themselves. Check out these ideas for parents and teachers for specific ideas to engage the kids.
When you think about the episodes that Daniel is so famous for these days, you could choose just one or two or three of these activities and show the kids the episode (there are several available on DVD) and then you can lead the kids in doing a similar activity, such as making birthday cake (if this is a birthday party) or creating stories (if the kids are into stretching their imaginations together) or learning to use a Yo Yo. This is an active party to undertake several activities as a group to explore something proactively.
Daniel Cook can be the inspiration, but you can also listen to your kid and learn what interests them to actively do, i.e. a hike through the woods, playing a sport, making a meal, etc. Invite several of your kid’s friends over and explore, do, and have fun!!
