How much does an entertainer usually charge for a kid’s party?
Really, the answer depends on where you live, the length of entertainment routine, and what is included in the routine. On average, entertainers charge $150 to $250 for a 45 minute performance. This can be more expensive, but generally this is a good base line. Those entertainers that are especially popular in your community can often command well above the average price however.
Other items that may increase the price of an entertainer include:
- A longer routine;
- Goody bags and balloons being provided to the kids;
- Mileage charges if the entertainer must drive extra miles outside of his normal area.
It is always important to ask up front what is the entertainer’s fee are, and what is provided for their cost. Be very clear so that there are no surprises on your end. Also, if you sign a contract with the entertainer, make sure the agreed upon amount is placed into the contract as well.
