When should my child’s first birthday party be?
Arranging a party for your child or a favorite child in your life takes some care and thoughtful planning. One of the best things to do is first consider the child’s age. So many parents go “all out” for a first or second year birthday. It is great to celebrate the one or two-year milestone, but this is more for the parents, family, and friends than for the child — he or she will only remember it via old family photos one day.
What is a good age to start birthday parties?
When your child is one or two, the best thing you can do is order cake and ice cream, have a bunch of your family and friends over, perhaps some little friends from daycare or the playground/neighborhood, and have a relaxing, fun time with each other. Party hats and balloons would also make a festive touch when you snap the “cake with child” picture which is so dearly treasured.
Not to worry….around the age of three your child will have found a favorite character he or she adores.
