Halloween Costume Tips
So, will you have goblins and pumpkins around your home this year or perhaps Chicken Little? Whatever you decide for costumes for your Halloween bash, keep a few tips in mind when purchasing and/or making costumes for the trick o' treaters...
If purchasing costumes, wigs, beards, etc. make sure that t hey are labeled "flame resistant." Although the label does not mean these items will not catch fire, the label does mean it will resist burning and extinguish quickly.
Avoid costumes with baggy arms, billowy sleeves, pontoon pants, and made out of flimsy material so that contact with candles will be minimal.
If you are going to have costumes with swrdos, shields, etc. make sure they are soft and flexible.

No Sew Costume Ideas

It's that time of year to think about Halloween costumes, especially if friendly too? Here ayou plan to make your own creations this holiday season. Looking for some No Sew ideas that will take hardly any time and are budget-re a few ideas that will take little more than a few costume props, pins, cardboard, etc. that look very creative for All Hallow's Eve this year:
Bunch of Grapes
Wear purple and green sweats or tights, etc. Blow up purple and green balloons and attach all over your body with safety pins. Wear matching makeup on hands and face to blend in.
Bubble Bath
Take a white laundry basket and cut out the bottom. (Try to find one that does not have holes in it otherwise tape a white cardboard piece to the inside of the laundry basket so as to show no holes.) Attach two stripes of material to each side of the laundry basket, connecting front and back for shoulder straps. Blow up white, lavender, pink, and pearl colored balloons and safety pin them to the basket for your bubbles. Wear all white underneath, and add a shower cap, slippers, and a washcloth or poof brush for added effect.

Twilight Party Ideas
The Twilight series of books by Stephanie Meyer is quickly emerging as a phenomenon among the tweens and teens. The saga over the course of four books, the latest has just been released this month!, will hit the big screen on November 21st a full three weeks early than its original release date! This is the story of Bella and Edward that unfolds in Forks, WA. It's an unusual relationship in that Bella is human and Edward is a vampire...at once they are attracted to to one another and Edward also is interested in her scent...perhaps even how she tastes. It's full of intrigue and the movie is highly anticipated.
Given Halloween is almost upon us, Twilight would make a great theme for several parties: a book party, a birthday party, and/or a Halloween Bash.
So how can you create a perfect Twilight Party? Find inspiration with the ideas below!

| Your Very Own Haunted House
Well, as the weeks wind toward Halloween, perhaps your family would like to make its own spooky house this holiday season. Perhaps it will be for the trick or treaters to take a tour before they receive their treats (or tricks?) or to spook up some holiday fun the weekend before the big night in the neighborhood. Whatever your motivation, here are a few tips to bring the haunts alive:
*Decide upon the space you want to use. This could be your yard, your home or just one area of your house, i.e. the basement. *Plan your entrance and exit and think through what types of spooks and scares you want to include in your plan. *Get help~ to not only transform the Haunted House, but also to participate in spooking it as well. * Don't forget to add eerie lighting, scary sounds, and darkness. Throw dark sheets or black garbage bags over the windows...no light will be able to get through.
