All About Hearts First Birthday Ideas
If
your baby is turning one this February, especially if around mid-month,
then the theme of a "Hearts" party may appeal to you! If so, there are
some easy and very budget friendly ways to get this party planned. Send
out heart invitations with a cute heart-felt poem that captures the
theme of your party. Decorations will be in the colors of red and white
and perhaps pink.
Use balloons and
streamers in these colors, use a red tablecloth (if it is paper, draw
white hearts all over and if it is a fabric, cut out white hearts and
attach all over the fabric cloth.) Have a large stuffed red heart in
the middle of your table and attach heart-shaped Mylar balloons to it
for added festivity. Cut out large and small hearts, and place them all
over the party room.

Mad Hatter Tea Party
Alice
in Wonderland's delightful Mad Hatter Tea Party may often be a popular
theme for a birthday party. If your daughter is interested in a tea
party, but has to invite all of the boys in the classroom, then a Mad
Hatter theme party may work well for this situation. Why do I say this?
Let's look at some of the fun activities that can be done at the party
to begin: Decorate your party room with lots of live-sized cards,
King of Hearts, Queen of Spades, etc. At the party table, have several
packs of cards lying around so that the kids can play with them during
the party.
You can also spread the cards out around the table
as an additional decoration. Also, toss all types of hats around the
party room.

Love Bug Bash
Yes,
it is barely 2007, and thoughts of hearts and love bugs are swirling
around in my mind. Valentine's Day is little over a month away and for
those of you with kids celebrating birthdays around this time of year,
or who are looking to celebrate Valentine's with a party in or out of
school, one good idea is to invite the Love Bugs, i.e. Lady Bugs, in
for some special fun!
To kick off your party, send a unique
invitation. Make a giant Lady Bug using black and red construction
paper. On one side of the Lady Bug write, "Love Bug, Lady Bug, are you
red and rounded with black spots all over you? If you look like me then
won't you come and play at a Love Bug Party this Valentine's Day?"
Provide the rest of the details as well.

Chocolate Bar Invitations
Here's
a simple and fun invitation idea. Buy your kid's favorite
chocolate bar. Carefully remove the chocolate wrapper, a
standard Hershey's Bar works really well! Outline the
wrapper on your favorite paper or on a color of paper that matches
your party theme. In your own handwriting or by feeding the
wrapper paper in the computer, place all of your party details on the
new wrapper. Reattach the new wrapper to the chocolate bar with a glue stick. Have your kid hand-out his sweet party invitations to all of his party guests. It's simple, but packs a punch on the delivery! Everyone will want an invite to this party!
