Fourth of July Fun Ideas for Kids
 It's
that time of year when you begin to plan your
Fourth of July celebration, and you want to
include the kids in the fun too, of
course! Check below for easy,
budget-friendly ways to make the Fourth of July
full of family fun!
Decorations
- Instead of filling vases with flowers, fill
them with blueberries, strawberries, and
raspberries. This is yummy and festive looking.
Guests can scoop the berries out and add whipped
cream for a truly red, white, and blue treat!
- Use different-shaped vases to hold dips and
chips as well. These make great centerpieces as
well as unique serving dishes.

Oceanic Birthday Party Ideas for Kids
 An oceanic
expedition theme falls along the lines of a
water-themed party but has a more specific
direction. If you are interested, here are some
resources and ideas: Check out these Ocean
Adventure party supplies at Birthday in a Box. They'll
pull your theme together.
If you are on a budget, don't be afraid to
mix and match tableware. For example, use
an oceanic-themed plate with solid (and often
less expensive) cups or cake plates. read

 What's a
perfectly easy, fun, and budget-friendly toddler
to 4-year-old party theme? A messy party! Kids
love to make a mess, so why not give in and make
a whole party out of it! If this idea appeals,
let's get down to the nitty gritty and bring it
alive:
For the invitations, use heavy card
stock and paint or a stamp pad. Have your child
make hand prints all over the card, add all of
the party details, and invite the kids to get
ready to make a mess! read

Christmas in July Party Activities
It's strange to think about, but in five
months it will be the night before
Christmas! People often celebrate Christmas
in July on the 25th day of this month. Even
though the holidays are not very close, you
still can do something fun and different on a
hot summer day by celebrating Christmas in
July.
Find some jingle jangle inspiration
here:
1. Provide the kids with red and green
construction paper, markers, glitter, glue, and
crayons so that they can make festive holiday
creations.
2. Bake a batch of sugar cookies, and cut
them out in fun holiday shapes. Have the kids
ice them with red and green frosting and add
other festive touches. read

Too Hot to Party? Quick, Cool
Tips
 Well, it's the
dog days of summer. I imagine most people
are off at the beach or enjoying some respite
before the autumn madness kicks in. And with
good cause: it's hot out there.
If you have a party planned and it is
over-the-top hot where you live, here are some
ideas to keep it cool:
- Find a shady spot at the park for your
party.
- Water always works. Have a water balloon
fight or a Slip 'N Slide at home, make it an
actual pool party, or take a trip to a water
park.
- Take your party to an air-conditioned venue,
such as a bowling alley or children's
museum.
