Thanks for visiting Peppers and Pollywogs
to plan your kids' parties! We appreciate you!
Do you find that this time of year you have
loads of Halloween decorations left over that
you would like to use and reuse as you prepare
for Thanksgiving? We have seasonal decoration
tips for you to do just that. During this month,
we know you will be spending a lot of time in
the kitchen, so check out our easy Thanksgiving
treats that you can make with your kids ... they
will love to be in the kitchen with you too!
Great memories.
If you are looking to
create a thematic party for your child this
month, how about taking some inspiration from a
favorite old TV show, Little House on the
Prairie? It's a great theme for a colonial
party. As you head "over the river and through
the woods" to visit your family, find fun car
games to play with your kids on the way
there.
Finally, the new Twilight-series movie New
Moon hits theaters on November 20th. Is your
child a fan? If so, we have plenty of
inspiration for your Twilight-themed party
too!
Gobble, gobble! It's the season to be
grateful! Have a wonderful holiday.

Halloween to
Thanksgiving Seasonal
Decorations
 It's
autumn and time for a series of holidays that
will keep your kids busy throughout the next few
months. First up is Halloween ... which leads
into Thanksgiving only 4 weeks later. What is
wonderful about these holidays is they fall
within the fall season and use the same color
scheme. As a result, many of the things you
purchase for one can be used for the other. This
reduces the amount of money you need to spend on
the kids' fun during this
season.

Thanksgiving
Treats
Well, we are into November now and that
means the Pilgrims and Indians are beginning to
gather to prepare for the big feast later this
month. If you are looking to get into the spirit
with your kids and want to make some fun
snacks/treats along the Thanksgiving season,
have a look below: Mock
Stuffing:Fill several bowls with
plain croutons slightly crushed, and the kids
sprinkle in different seasonings such as garlic
or onion powder, celery seed and dried
parsley. read

Little House on the
Prairie
I watched the TV show when I was a kid
and, of course, had the collection of books, and
I am pleased to find that a new generation also
loves them. If you are looking for a few party
ideas around Little House on the Prairie,
read below: Have guests come dressed in
Prairie costumes! For
Crafts:
- Make little log cabins out of Popsicle
sticks.
- Purchase bonnets and have the guests
decorate them to wear at the party (can be a
first activity as they enter the party).
- The group could make a small quilt by sewing
up a few patches each ... or have the guests
decorate one quilt patch to take home with
them.

Twilight Party
Ideas
The Twilight series
of books by Stephanie Meyer is quickly emerging
as a phenomenon among tweens and teens. The
first installment hit the big screen in
November 2008-and now you can get
the Twilight DVD! Now, the Twilight saga
continues with the second movie in the series
being released on November 20, 2009. Again, it's
a perfect time for aNew Moon party!
Twilight is
the story of Bella and Edward that unfolds in
Forks, Washington. It's an unusual relationship
in that Bella is human and Edward is a vampire.
At once they are attracted to to one another,
and Edward also is interested in her scent ...
perhaps even how she tastes. The Twilight
series is full of
intrigue. If you haven't already, check
out Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book
1) and New Moon (The Twilight
Saga, Book 2) at Amazon.

Car Games for
Kids
As the holiday season approaches, so
does the season of road trips. When you are
on your next long car drive with your children
and are looking for fun and easy ways to pass
the time, check out the simple
games: Play Punch Bug. Look out for
Volkswagon Beetles. When you see one, say what
color it is ("Punch bug ____!") and and gently
punch the person next to you in the
arm. Play I Spy, of course!
Play Name That
Tune. In this game, one player
thinks of a song that everybody knows and hums
its first few notes. The other players try to
guess the name of the
song. read
